In partnership with LaSalle Investment Management and York City Council, Centros is progressing the initial designs to redevelop the Castle Piccadilly area of York opposite one of the city’s most historic features, Clifford’s Tower. York is currently losing significant retail expenditure to Leeds and Hull because although the city is very attractive, the historic street pattern does not naturally provide many opportunities for large shop units. The site is bounded by Piccadilly, the Coppergate shopping centre, Clifford’s Tower and also accommodates a short stretch of the River Foss.

The redevelopment will provide a unique opportunity for new retail units, restaurants and quality homes, all in a riverside setting overlooking the tower.
Having been formally selected as York City Councils development partner in July 2009 we are working closely with York's planners and will be engaging with the public through an extensive consultation process with the aim of achieving a high-quality and sensitive development proposal that will complement the historic setting and provide a strong customer attraction in its own right. |
